Work with us
A small team building software and running the systems it depends on. Here is how we hire, what the work is like, and what is open right now.
Open roles
Nothing open at the moment
There are no advertised roles right now. We still read speculative applications, and we hire from them more often than from adverts: tell us what you build and what you would want to work on here.

How we hire
Four stages, and we tell you where you stand at each one
No unpaid take-home exercises, no panel of eight, and no silence. If we are not going ahead we say so, and we say why.
-
You write to us
A CV and a few honest lines about what you have built. No cover letter of adjectives. If there is a link to something you made, that is worth more than the rest of the email.
We reply within one working week
-
A conversation, not an interrogation
About an hour. What you have worked on, what went wrong on it, and what you would want to do here. You will speak to the person you would actually work with.
One call, about an hour
-
A paid piece of real work
A small, self-contained task close to the work we would give you, with a fixed scope and a fixed fee. We pay for it whether or not we make an offer, and we do not keep the work if we do not hire you.
Agreed with you, usually a few days
-
Offer, with the numbers in it
Salary, terms and what the first three months look like, in writing. If we are not making an offer we will tell you why, specifically enough to be useful.
Within a week of the work
What it is like
Including the parts that do not suit everyone
- Small team, wide scope You will not be handed one narrow layer of one system. The person who builds a thing here tends to scope it, ship it and support it, which is either the best part of the job or the reason it is not for you.
- Remote, with real overlap hours We work across Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States. Overlap hours are agreed rather than assumed, and we do not schedule over them casually.
- Client work is on the record Estimates, decisions and delivery dates are written down and visible to the client. That is a higher standard than most places, and it is the reason our estimates are usually right.
- Production is somebody's Tuesday We run systems people depend on. There is an on-call rotation, it is compensated, and it is shared. We would rather say that in an advert than in week three.
What we look for
- You have shipped something that other people rely on, and can talk about what broke.
- You write clearly. Most of this job is explaining a technical trade-off to somebody who is not technical.
- You are careful with other people's data by instinct, not because a policy told you to be.
- You can say "I do not know yet" and then go and find out, which is rarer than it sounds.

Opportunities that are not jobs
Ways to work with us that are not employment. They are advertised here because people looking for one often arrive looking for the other.

View and apply to the Sales Partner Network
Sales partner
Commission only, not employmentAnywhere · Independent contract · Open continuously
Introduce clients and earn commission on engagements that close and are paid. You bring the relationship; we do the scoping, the proposal and the technical conversation. It suits somebody who already sells into organisations with staff, systems and a budget, and who wants an arrangement alongside what they already do.

The Sales Partner Network is a contract for services. It is not employment, it carries no salary and it does not lead to a staff role. Commission structure and full terms are in the partner agreement, supplied on request.
