Cookie policy

This page describes exactly what nordaxiz.com stores in your browser and what it records about your visit. It is a description of how the site is built, not a statement of intent.

The short version

Browsing this site sets no cookies at all. Nothing is counted until you choose "Accept all". No advertising, tracking or analytics service from another company is loaded on any page, so nothing here reports your visit to anybody else.

What is stored in your browser

The site uses local storage rather than cookies for your choices. Local storage stays on your device and is never sent to us automatically the way a cookie is.

• ndx-cookie-choice records whether you accepted or rejected. Without it the banner would ask again on every page.
• ndx-consent-id is a random value written only if you accept. It exists so that one decision is recorded once rather than repeatedly. It is never attached to a page view and never used to recognise you.

If you sign in to the client portal or the content management system, a session cookie is set for that subdomain. It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. It is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, is scoped to the one host that issued it, and is deleted when you sign out. Those systems also remember small interface preferences on your device, such as whether the side menu is collapsed and whether the image gallery is showing a grid or a list.

What a page view records

Only after you accept, and only in aggregate. Each page view adds one to a counter against four values:

• the date
• the page address
• the country, as a two letter code
• the website you arrived from, if any, as a domain name only

There is no visitor identifier in that record, so there is nothing to link one page view to another or to you. Your IP address is not stored against a page view: it is used to look up the country and then discarded. We do not store the full address of the page you came from, only its domain. There is no profile, no session recording and no cross-site tracking, because the data recorded cannot support any of them.

When you send us an enquiry

A form submission is different from a page view, and it is the one place we do record where you are.

When you send an enquiry, apply to the Sales Partner Network or ask for a quote, we record alongside your message:

• the country you select on the form
• your IP address
• the city and region that address resolves to, where we are able to resolve it. Often we can only tell the country
• an approximate map position, rounded to about a kilometre. Close enough to place an enquiry on a city, not close enough to place it on a street

Why. Analytics and marketing. Knowing which countries and cities our enquiries come from is how we decide where to advertise, which time zones to staff, and whether to open somewhere new. It is also how we tell two enquiries from the same office apart from one person sending the same thing twice.

How long. The IP address itself is deleted on our retention schedule. The country and the approximate position stay with the enquiry, because they are what the analysis above uses and they identify nobody on their own.

What we do not do with it. We do not sell it, we do not share it with an advertising network, and we do not use it to build a profile of you across other websites. There is no advertising or analytics service from another company running on this site at all, so there is nothing here that could.

When you accept or reject

Your decision is recorded with the random consent id, the decision itself, the categories it covered, your country and the time. This is the record that shows consent was obtained, which the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires us to keep.

What is loaded from elsewhere

Nothing. Every stylesheet, script, typeface and image on this site is served from nordaxiz.com. No page contacts any other company, so no other company learns that you visited or receives your IP address.

The one exception is a page where you choose to pay an invoice, which hands you over to Paystack to enter your card details. That happens only when you press the button that says so, and we never see or store the card details you enter there.

Changing your mind

Clearing site data for nordaxiz.com in your browser removes both values above, and the banner asks again on your next visit. Rejecting stops the counting immediately; nothing is recorded after that point.
